I'm scared to update to 3.8

    I’m using the older version of WordPress, and I have an ElegantThemes theme loaded up there (eList). I have changed a few things in the code of the theme, so I am worried about updating to the new version of WordPress.

    Will it break anything? From what i’ve seen in other threads it could break plugins. But, will it break my site?

    Should I backup my site manually before updating (if I update), what’s the best way to do that??
