Twenty Twelve on IE 11 Checkout page problem

I am using Twenty Twelve because it suits my needs for its layout and it is responsive. Using Woocommerce I am flying alone very well until in testing I see that in IE 11 the validation message for credit card input does not appear. The page scrolls up to the top but no message. The actual message is displayed in plain text in the upper left corner barely visible. I have created a child theme to make all of my style changes but have no idea how to approach this one.
