permalink is too long

I have been trying to add a button link onto a couple of my pages it is not working.. I noticed that my Permalinks are very long on a couple of pages ie https://www.homestayenglish.uk.com/homestay-language-course-in-england/english-homestays-for-kids/ ?.
I don’t know exactly why it is so long. The actual page ,seo title is “English homestays for kids.” Is there a way to reduce this? Is this the reason I am unable to add this link button and would this affect me adversely in Google rankings?
