• We have been shutdown by our hosting site twice in the last few days for high CPU usage. We are a small site with low traffic and have been running the site for 18 months with no problems. Our hosting site have sent the following error message through to assist in fixing the problem but this means nothing to me:

    specialneedsfamilyresources.co.uk [Fri Jan 10 10:58:53 2014] [error] [client 65.55.52.97:16077] AH01215: WordPressdatabase error MySQL server has gone away for query SELECT * FROM wp_posts WHERE (post_type = ‘page’ AND post_status = ‘publish’) ORDER BY menu_order,wp_posts.post_title ASC made by require(‘wp-blog-header.php’), require_once(‘wp-includes/template-loader.php’), include(‘/themes/frc web files from Kerry apr 2012/404.php’), get_footer, locate_template, load_template, require_once(‘/themes/frc web files from Kerry apr 2012/footer.php’), wp_nav_menu, call_user_func, wp_page_menu, wp_list_pages, get_pages

Any help here would be immensely appreciated.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
