    Hey,
I was editing my website, messing around trying to figure out how to put a logo in my header. I went looking in the forums and found a code provided by the theme editor. I used it, but had no help. As I went to go take out the coding, I continued to get an error code on every page on my site.

I continue to get: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’ in D:\Hosting\5689979\html\wp-content\themes\expound\inc\custom-header.php on line 21.

I’m not able to do anything at all.

  • I had that when i tried to edit the functions php file as instructed, but it shut down all access from the site with dashboard, so I had to use a backup every time from the host. Ask your host to reinstate the previous days version. I’ve given up trying to edit the functions file….

Download a fresh copy of expound and replace it with the one you have via FTP. Also, next time you try and modify a theme, consider using a child theme instead.
