@2em.creative – Did you update any other plugins or your theme as well, or was everything working fine and stopped after you updated your WordPress version to 3.8?

There could have been something else that may be affecting the gallery display output … have you tried temporarily changed to a default WordPress Twenty series theme to see if the thumbnails display the same way?

    Hey Cais!

Didn’t update any other plugins. Just the wordpress version. Everything was working just fine before then.

I will try and change the theme and see if that works and get back to you.

Thanks for your prompt response! Appreciate it.

    Hi!

I tried the Twenty Twelve and the Twenty Fourteen themes, and the gallery works fine on both of those. It doesn’t work with my customized theme though. How do I go about fixing this?

Here’s the page for your reference, so you can see the issue –

@brunog – The shortcode I am using is
    [nggallery id=1 template=caption]

That doesn’t work with my customized theme, but it does work with the default wordpress twenty fourteen theme.

I am a very rookie WordPress developer, so don’t have any suggestions to offer, sorry. I’d really appreciate any pointers on fixing this issue.

@2em.creative – You appear to be using an older version of jQuery in your theme and the theme also appears to have integrated the “nivo” slider as well. The most current version of nivo slider from the developer has been reported as working.

I would suggest you look at the rest of the JavaScript / jQuery scripts and their versions as well as look at how the nivo slider is being integrated into the theme as starting points.

Cais – Thank you for the pointers and your help.

I will probably have to find a developer to help me troubleshoot since I don’t have too much knowledge of jquery.

The nivo slider is used to control the sliding effect on the pages I believe.
