I’ve been a WordPress user for a year and a half now, and a year of that I spent using GoDaddy’s hosting without any trouble. I just finished leaving GoDaddy for Media Temple, and this is where the trouble starts. After MySQL importing issues, I finally got my blog https://winnopeg.com online this afternoon.

However, my permalinks are all broken. I have always used “/archives/%post_id%/%postname%/” for posts, and “/categories” for categories. However, upon transitioning, it no longer works without “index.php” before it. Looking at the codex, it would seem that Media Temple dosn’t have mod_rewrite, however I’m sure they do- just look at all the 9rule bloggers using WordPress and (mt) (ex. https://mattbrett.com).

Does anyone here know how to fix this? I’ve got a year of posts using the old structure – and there’s no way I’m going through all of them to update to this new structure that dosn’t even look half as nice..
