• I just installed “PB Responsive Images” and once activated all the post images disappeared. I’ve tried deactivating other plugins but still no luck. I thought I had a solid understanding of wordpress, but after reading the help tab I’m feeling pretty novice, so if you have any recommendation, details will be really appreciated. Thanks for this plugin and your help! It looks like just what I need!

    The website is BackpackersUnion.com

    Hey Lisa,

No, it’s still under active maintenance – I just wasn’t able to get to this post, as I was under a particularly heavy work load at the time. It’s odd that the images aren’t showing up, do you have a url I can go to to see an example? Any additional information would be helpful, really.

    Thanks!

Basically what happened is the images went missing but the alternate title tag was still there. I don’t have a URL to show you since we removed the plugin. Not sure what information I can give you. We simply installed it and activated it then the pictures when missing, probably a URL structure issue?

That would be my guess as well, but I can’t give any advice as to what the issue may be without seeing the problem. As a guess, if mod_rewrite or .htaccess are causing issues, you can bypass them by setting the base url to ‘{plugin-url}/slir/index.php?r=’ in the plugin settings.

Okay thank you, we will give that a shot and see. However my developer did say the htaccess was writeable. I will have him configure the settings as you suggested and see if that resolves the issue.

Thank you for your response. I’ll let you know if he tests it and it works.

    that solved it for me,
    cheers!

‘{plugin-url}/slir/index.php?r=’ , this works for me. Thanks YOKKELE.

    Hey Jacob,

First of all. Thanks for publishing this plugin and for supporting it. I think this is the solution I need for my website.

I experienced the issue with the broken images upon installation. I think this may be due to my host: wp-engine. That being said, I used the fix (‘{plugin-url}/slir/index.php?r=’) and it seems to work when the images need to be responsive (smaller width screens) however it’s created black background on all of my images when the screen size is normal.

Here is my staging site where you can see this:

Here is my production site where the plugin is disabled.

Any help here would be much appreciated.

    Regards,
    Jonathan
