A few questions on changing designs

  • elp a newbie please.

    1) The words My Weblog currently overlap my entries. What should I do for this not to happen? (I’m using Ian Main’s human condition) . Also, I would like to change the words MY WEBLOG to something else, how can I do this? I tried looking for it in index.php and css (using human definition template), but can’t seem to find it.
    2) Which file should I tweak to change the links? If you look at my page, the links currently point to Alex, dougal, Matt, Mike, WordPress. I would like to change these links so that it will point to other pages on my site, etc. What should I do?
    2) Which file to tweak to add categories. I tried admin (https://www.asiahotelbookings.net/asiatravel/wp-admin/post.php) but can’t seem to find it there. Or am I just dumb?
    3)Is there a file which is a .rss (to be changed to javascript) which I can use for syndication (not sure if i’m using the right terms here)

  • 1. It’s in the General Settings of your Login Options screen.
    2. Use the Link Manager from Options.
    2. Categories are also controlled from Options. Go to the Post screen, and look along the top – Category Manager (or similar) should be there.
    3. RSS is already built in – look at the last group of links at the bottom of your menu.
    (I like the numbering ?? )

    hahahaha…Didn’t notice that. And oh! that’s an extremely quick reply. I’m off to bed right now. It’s late in Vietnam. I’ve been looking at the files and realized most of the questions above are so unnecessary because they are just right in front of my face. Stupid, lazy me. Will try again 2-morrow (er, today, later today).
