The next version (which should be published this week) will include a native PHP MO compiler so you’ll no longer need msgfmt on the server.

However, the plugin is not tested for Windows servers, so you undoubtedly run into problems on Windows. No support is planned for this.

Maybe it works, if you replace “\\” with “/” while using/creating any path.

If you have magic quotes enabled you may get double slashes when data is posted

The current development version (1.3.2) now includes a native MO compiler that does not have a Gettext msgfmt dependency.

The built-in compiler is the default unless you’ve already set a msgfmt path. Visit the Settings tab to change which compiler is used.

Note that the compiler is – as with the rest of this plugin – not tested on Windows.

The current stable version 1.4.1 has both a native MO compiler and also a workaround for magic quotes if they are enabled. Can you confirm whether this issue is resolved, please?
