Change permalinks – big problem help please

  • Hello

    My website is and my current permalinks like this date/post-title/

    Today I have created a new design and want optimize my blog so I change the url to post-title/, I also using wp seo plugin to remove ‘category’ word from the permalinks. A lot of change so I think all the indexed link on Google will be 404.

    Do you have any recommend for me ?

    I think there are two plugins that might be helpful:

    Google XML sitemaps is a plugin that creates an xml file that tells google and other search engines how your site is structured, making it easier to index.

    For the time just after you changed the permalinks, you could use the redirection plugin to create redirects for the most important landing pages, so that links using the old permalink structure will be redirected to the new structure.
