Which sitemaps do I really need ? and sitemap is html error

  • Hello,

    I have an issue with a sitempas…
    1.I have a few sitemaps :
    /author-sitemap.xml
    /sitemap_index.xml
    /slide-sitemap.xml
    /attachment-sitemap.xml
    Do I need theam all or I should left just one sitemap and which ?

    2.Page-sitemap and attachment-sitemap do not have any errors, but index and author sitemap shows error that they are HTML…
    How can I solve it?
