[Theme Customizr]

  • Starting with a brand new instance of wordpress via Fantasitco at HostGator

    Try to search for customizr under themes get:
    An Unexpected HTTP Error occured during the API request.

    When I go get the theme zip and install it I get

    Fatal error: Class ‘TC_customize’ not found in /home/dskvsa/public_html/newsite/wp-content/themes/customizr/inc/class-fire-utils.php on line 132

    Have to kill the subdomain after that to recover

  • I’m getting the exact same error on hostgator servers too. You don’t need to kill the subdomain to recover though. Just ftp into your subdomain and in wpcontent/themes delete customizer and you will be back to the initial install.

    Hope someone has a solution for this problem. I want to use that theme.

    My experience. Hostgator’s Fantastico auto install causes the error.

    I had to manually install WordPress onto my XAMPP local server and install the theme. Then on hostgator’s server, I had to manually create the MySQL database and install from my local version onto their server. There are no errors when doing it this way. Just an extra hour of work.
