• You are not the only one with this problem. I have the same problem and it appeared a week ago.

    The problem is caused by some custom Open Graph meta tags on your site. You can read more about it here:

    You’ll want to remove the custom Open Graph meta tags added by one of your plugins:

    TY, I removed the below line in its entirety. Ran debug, still getting an error message. Did I do something wrong?

    <meta property=”og:url” content=”https://bit.ly/1l3kToA”>

    Update – thought I deleted the code but it apparently keeps coming back. Will you please let me know what needs to be done to correct this issue? I guess I don’t understand how to remove the meta tag.

    I’m not sure what’s adding these tags; it’s most likely a Bitly plugin, but it could be an option in another one of your plugins. I’m afraid I cannot help you more here, I’m not too familiar with Bitly.

    If you don’t find any plugins adding this feature to your site, you’ll want to look at your theme functions to make sure it doesn’t automatically adds these tags to all your posts.

    The weird thing is, it worked before, even with Bitly. It just randomly stopped working several weeks ago which I don’t get. I’ve reached out to Bitly to see if they can offer a resolution. Any reason why it would have worked flawlessly for months to randomly stop working all of sudden?

    Yes, a few weeks ago Facebook started rejecting all Publicized posts if they included problematic Open Graph meta tags. It wasn’t a problem before, but the change happened a few weeks back on Facebook’s end, as you mentioned.
