• Hi everyone,

I would neeed some help with an issue I have. We use IE 9 in the company (don’t ask… I know…) and I need to make the WP Admin Back-End work with that dinosaur browser. All seems to work fine after the upgrade to 3.8, however the Post Editor screen doesn’t render correctly.

Now, I use CKEDITOR instead of the default WP-Editor and that might be the reason why, as CKEDITOR is no longer developed for WordPress and that might be the reason. However, even when deactivating the CKEDITOR plugin, the default WP editor doesn’t render on IE9:

(above link shows a screen shot of the post editor screen in IE9. Now, I’d appreciate any ideas that are not related to “update your browser” or “switch to Chrome or Firefox”, as we need IE9 for compatibility reasons to some corporate applications…

I do admit that I have a lot of plugins on my site but even when deactivating them ALL, the issue still exists…

Any help or suggestion to debug this better would be appreciated!

    Thanks a lot!

  • wp-editor works good for ie7+ IMHO.
sometimes disabling plugins isnt enough, you will have to move them out of plugins folder via ftp, refresh cache, and then test.

Thanks, I tried that (moving the plugins). I don’t have a cache plugin as my site is members only, so caching is not the problem…

Good to hear CKEDITOR is not the cause. In fact, I presumed that after deactivating CKEDITOR and seeing hte same problem…

    Any other ideas? Thanks…
