    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Could you try to reset your Facebook connection as explained here:
    https://jetpack.me/support/publicize/facebook/#reconnecting-facebook

Let me know if it helps after you publish your next post!

Okay I followed those directions fully, disconnecting on both the WordPress side and the Facebook side, then re-connecting everything.

Just made a new post. It did not push to Facebook.

    I’m sorry to hear that.

I had a look at your site’s source code, and I noticed that you use 2 different plugins to handle Open Graph meta tags on your site: one of them is WordPress SEO, the other is “WPSocial SEO Booster Plugin”.

Could you try to deactivate the WPSocial SEO Booster Plugin, and try to publish again? Facebook usually doesn’t do well with duplicate sets of Open Graph meta tags, and it might be why your Publicize posts were rejected by Facebook.

I will give that a try with the next post I make tomorrow.

Okay I deactivated the WP Social SEO Booster plugin, cleared all my site caches, then added a new post. It still did not publish to Facebook. This is not too surprising to me, since WP Social SEO Booster and Jetpack had been living together in peace for quite some time on my blog when everything was working.

Again, the only things I changed between when it was working (publishing to Facebook) and not working was updating Jetpack to version 2.7 and updating WordPress to version 3.8.

This is not too surprising to me, since WP Social SEO Booster and Jetpack had been living together in peace for quite some time on my blog when everything was working.

Facebook recently started being a bit more strict and rejecting Publicized posts if there are duplicate sets of Open Graph meta tags in a post’s <head>, or if one of the meta tags creates an error in Facebook’s Debugger. Looking at your site, I still see 2 sets of Meta tags; one of them is added by WordPress SEO, the other by the WPSocial SEO Booster Plugin. It creates an error in the debugger, as you can see here:
    https://i.wpne.ws/T25p
    https://seattlebubble.com/blog/2013/12/18/affordability-improved-october-november/

Could you give it another try, and check that the debugger doesn’t return any errors?

Let me know if it helps.

Yes I turned off the plugin as described, cleared all site caches, and posted. When it failed to fix the problem, I re-enabled the plugin half an hour later.

I only make one post a day so I will try again tomorrow morning and let you know.

Okay I tweaked the settings of the other SEO plugins to get rid of the error that the Facebook Debugger was throwing. This morning’s post worked.

Again though, I’m 99% certain that things only broke with the latest update to Jetpack and/or WordPress, and I’ve noticed a lot of other threads in this forum from people with similarly-timed breaks in Facebook publishing, so it still seems to me like something was changed that broke things.

Anyway, thanks much for helping me get it working again. The Facebook Debugger link was a big help.
