carousel layer partially under brand.

Hello,

I have moved the carousel up, under the main nav. My logo is twice the height as my nav. I would like the carousel to go under the logo or brand class about 70 px.
I have tried playing with z-index but it is not working as (im confused) there are so many different nests/elements to consider and order.

Below is the code to raise the slider up.
