Get a 404 when I try to post

  • I’m having trouble posting a new blog after upgrading to 2.0.4.

    After I’ve typed up the post, and doesn’t matter whether I click on “Save” or “Save and continue editing” or “Publish”, I am brought to a 404 error page and I lose my post.

    I have tried about 30 times, and only once did I manage to save a post successfully. But I can’t publish it.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • I have been experiencing this off and on as well, and it’s getting really annoying. It just happened to me again, which is why I am over here trying to find answers again. So, you aren’t alone in this, but I don’t know what the problem is. Hope someone has an answer.

    Is there anything in your webserver’s error log?

    What plugins are you using?

    Firewall, ISP, connection, etc?

    have you read any of the other threads on the subject?

    404 or 403?

    Is your host running mod_security?
