• Using Windows 7 Pro, IE11 – this problem just started: cannot view pages in VISUAL, only in HTML. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.

    I did that – doesn’t help. thanks anyway.

    Have you checked under your user profile to make sure Visual Editor is not turned off?

    Do you have any caching on your site – have you cleared that?

    Have you tried deactivating your plugins and switching to a default theme to see if any are causing that problem?

    Just a question to narrow down the issue…

    Are your submenus working in the dashboard? ie, if you mouseover “Appearance” does the submenu that starts with “Themes” open up?

    I don’t understand the question.

    Yes, the submenus are working.

    Are you having problems with your submenus at all?

    I believe that you have some corrupt media file uploaded (or partially uploaded). This is often the unspoken cause of this issue.

    Additionally, if you can edit your wp-config.php file, try adding:
    define( ‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false );
    towards the top of the file (not before <?php)
