Broken Multisite need help!

  • I installed multisite about a year ago. I have 7 sites on this network including my main site. I have used domain mapping to redirect the subdomain to a regular url for example subsite.mainsite.com goes to subsite.com. When I activate a theme on the network sites the site goes completely blank, and even the dashboard for the subsite {subsite.mainsite.com/wp-admin} goes blank and comes up with this error in IE:

    The website cannot display the page
    HTTP 500
    Most likely causes:
    ?The website is under maintenance.
    ?The website has a programming error.

    I have never had this problem. Does anyone know what this might be?

    Any theme? Where are you activating (there’s per-site and then there’s the network activation)?
