• Hey,

I loved this plugin when I set it up and I hope I can get it working again. Just checked my website after leaving it alone for quite some time and noticed the plugin was not working. Images were showing up but no magnification functionality. I looked and saw there has been some updates to the plugin so I tried updating it. I then got a loading icon above the image which is where im guessing the magnified image is supposed to load up. I waited for a bit but it never loaded. I tried to update my wordpress install to 3.7.1 thinking that this might solve the issue but it actually screwed up some other functions I was using so I reverted back to 3.5.2.

Here is an example of whats happening on the user side.

I’ve made sure all plugins are updated, the gallery shortcodes are not empty and I’ve tried to check everything possible. I must be missing something!

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

    Hi hotboxgd,

Sounds bad, could be some sort of JavaScript problem. Does the WordPress default gallery work properly? If you look at the javascript console with the SZG enabled, do you get errors?

Hey, thanks for the reply and at least trying to help me out. The wordpress default gallery does work fine. The link I posted last may not have shown you exactly what is happening as I have just made the main image link to a hi-res image as a temp solution. Here is a better scenario of what is going on.

Also, I’m not sure how to look at the javascript console. I’m pretty good with wordpress and the back end management but I’ve never done this before. It would help if you could briefly explain how to go about this.

    Thanks!

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for the test link. Weird things happening there, looks like a JavaScript related issue. I think that some other plugins, maybe some lightbox or other plugin conflicts with the SZG. I don’t see any JavaScript errors in the console, but the medium sized image is not being loaded.

Only way to find out is disabling other plugins and see if the gallery starts working again.

    Niels
