Images go not found and images i want deleted, dont

two problems.
1. images just go not found, they are there one day and gone the next.
2. images i delete are replaced with a not found type image thing.
i have the new version that i updated to.
question:
are my images trapped within your matrix that is always being “improved”?
in other words, losing images is not kool so how do i get my images out of your plugin control?
basically the plugin is making a mess of things at this point.
