    I’m unable to enable any user registration with this theme. I’ve tried various plugins and none actually work which leads me to think it’s the theme.
    What can I do to enable user registration?

    What if you switch to a default theme with all plugins deactivated?

    Hi belfusion – were you able to try WPyogi’s suggestion? I haven’t seen any other reports of not being able to use plugins with Writr so I’d like to know what happens if you try a default theme (like Twenty Eleven or Twenty Thirteen) and see if you’re able to activate a plugin.

    Have you tried activating a very simple plugin, like Hello Dolly, to see if that works?

    Could you provide a link to the site running this theme so I can take a look?
