Was it always happening for you from the moment you have installed the plugin?
Please update to v.8.0.1 and give it a go again. Lets see if the problem persists with the latest version

Emanuel, you still active on this post? I want to help to resolve this… Please reply

It’s resolved because I switched to the Geo Mashup plugin. Thanks.

Sure, no problem. Can you still provide me with information about problem you had, do you mind if I ask you a few questions?

Sure go ahead. Other people here were having the same problem though, so it shouldn’t be a surprise. Mashup markers were disappearing randomly. I would enter a new one, for example, and 5 or 10 older ones would be gone. Then I would go back to one of the earlier posts with a local map on it, click update without changing anything, then go back to the mashup map, and the updated marker would be there, but a bunch of the others would not. It was seemingly random which ones would be there and which ones wouldn’t.

I have been having the same problem with locations disappearing from the Geomashup randomly, have tried reposting all map locations on posts and re-posting Geomashup but doesn’t always show all locations. Geomashup map can be found on – https://www.tropicalfishsite.com/uk-fish-store-reviews/ .

    Thanks

    Thank you for your reply,

    Emanuel…

    1. Have markers always kept disappearing when you used geomashup feature or has it started after certain plugin version or WordPress version update?

    2. Were you able to notice whether markers that disappeared have its coordinates entered as an address string or latitude/longitude on their respective post maps? More on this, if the marker that disappeared had its coordinates as an address – was the marker successfully displayed on its respective map in the post?

    3. Did markers disappear/re-appear when page with geomashup map was refreshed OR when geomashup feature was enabled/disabled?

    Thank you

    1. Not sure. We first noticed it a few weeks ago, but also that was about the time we added a lot more locations to the map. Before we had less than 10, then suddenly we had around 30. So either it was some plugin conflict or WP core conflict, or it was just related to having too many locations.

    2. All coordinates were address strings. And all address strings were correctly displayed on the local post.

    3. Refreshing did NOT change the map. I did not try enabling/disabling geomashup feature. The strangest thing was that the randomness would change when “updating” a post. Whenever we updated a specific post, if that marker had been gone before, it then appeared, but others would then be gone. Very weird. This happened even if we did not change anything in the post itself, but just clicked the update button.

I will looking into it for the next version… I roughly have an idea what is happening based on your reports and reports of other user…

    Thanks

Ok… I would like someone to try a version of the plugin that should resolve mashup problems… Any volunteers?
