• Hi,

When I try to upload images to a page, post or gallery I just get a HTTP error. Sometimes it has different error message saying the upload failed and to try again later.

After a few minutes of this happening, the images turn up in the media library and load up very slowly when clicked on. I’ve tried with several different sets of images, with no luck.

I’m only using 3 plugins. I have deleted two of them to see if that would make a difference, but it didn’t. The other plugin is Jetpack. They are all up to date, as is wordpress.

We initially thought we may be running out of space, but I checked with the host and we have unlimited.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks

  • It’s a server/hosting issue – commonly caused by an over-strict mod_security configuration. Try asking your hosts about it.

    Thanks for your reply.

I spoke with the hosts and they showed me how to disable mod_security. I disabled it but it made no difference.

There are around 3500 photos on the website, most of which are compressed. Do you think this could be whats causing the problem?
