• When I did an upgrade, my site had to have a database upgrade:

    Database Update Required

WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.

The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.

I update the database but nothing happens and I can no longer access my site’s dashboard.

    Please help!

  • Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

Our Dashboard is hosed. It isn’t formatted and will not do upgrade or installation of new plugins. Server is MacHighway, this only applies to ONE website! Our programmer has 4 other sites through MacHighway and none of his other sites are affected.
