Where can I find an old version?

Yep had the same issue. I had to gain access via FTP and simply delete the Quick Cache folder for my website to work again.

I had this problem. As first aid I deleted the Quick Cache plugin by going into Cpanel File manage. I just deleted the directory. To fix the problem completely, the host manager shifted my site to a server that has PHP 5.3.

Hostgator also enabled PHP5.3 for my domain which fixed the issue

Having the same issue. Don’t know what FTP is and don’t have it set up I think. Don’t use hostgator. Does anyone know how to delete the plug-in without those things? Thanks for any help!

Updating this plugin just crashed my site. I wish I’d read this support page before installing the update! I’m currently trying to get my host to restore my site using a backup file. I can’t say I’m happy with this happening – especially as it means my site won’t work until the backup fixes the problem. If anyone can tell me why it happened and how to avoid it happening again in future, that would be great, as I enjoyed using this plugin up until now.

You have to install an FTP program like filezilla. It’s free. Enter your FTP info that came when you signed up for hosting or ask them for it. Then go into your plugins folder and delete the quick cache folder. That fixed my site. Do NOT try to deactivate the plugin later or it will break your site. Major issues with this update!

OHH! Thank you so much!! This was extremely helpful, I hated having my site down for so many hours! I appreciate you taking the time to explain!

So, my host has little buttons that let me update the php myself. There are two options:
    PHP 5.3
    PHP 5.3 (Single php.ini)

I don’t know the what the difference is.

It’s currently on PHP 5.2 (Single php.ini), so I’m thinking the PHP 5.3 (Single php.ini).

Edit: quickly remembered that I have two separate sites running WP (same host)- only one crashed with the install, so I looked at the other one and it is running PHP 5.4 (Single php.ini)!
