Google Albums – Highlights Only

  • Is it possible to use the ?sort=4 option in the URL to select only the highlights ( picasa starred ) of an Album?

    I upload a lot of photos from phone
    Cull 50% and keep about 20-30 for each album
    I then highlight the best 5-10

    Is it possible to have Shashin only pull the highlighted ones?

    That’s a good idea. Offhand I’m not sure if there’s data in the Picasa feeds that will let me know which photos are starred. If it’s there, I can add this. I’ll provide another update when I have a chance to check. I’ve put it on the issues list here https://github.com/toppa/Shashin/issues/60

    I’ll try to ask in the google groups about that. Is there a reference to their API you can point me to and I can start looking.

    Am still confused about Picasa (desktop), vs. Picasa web starred, vs. Google+ Photos highlights. I think the action of starring in picasa is the same as highlight in G+ Photos, but I don’t know what field or delimiter is flipped.

    When I look at my picasa.ini files LOCALLY I see this:

    star=yes
    [email protected]_lh=52df05482e8323b2

    Maybe it’s as simple as locating ‘star’ delimiter in API
