Updating posts with Postie

    Hi there, first of all, many thanks for this awesome plugin. It should come by default with WordPress.

    Ok, so I’m looking for a way to update an already posted post via email.

    Example: I post something via email and a couple of hours later I remember a really important detail that needs featuring in the same post. Is it possible to add the missing detail, email it and get my “old” post updated?

    Does Postie offer that possibility?

  • My postie runs through gmail and I know that it posts all mail with the same subject as comments to the same post.

    So if I sent an email to my gmail with the subject “postie” anything “re:postie” gets added as a comment to that post page. That help you at all?

    webcabbie has described the only real option Postie has. There is no way to replace a post with Postie.
