Adding plug in deletes web page content and account
-
I have a business website through yahoo small business that has been up for a few years. I recently decided to fix it up using WordPress. I was following a youtube video for instructions and making progress until trying to download a plug in. The video had used the responsive theme and I was following along. After installing and activating the responsive theme, I was prompted to download a responsive plug in. I selected download, but as soon as the download finished and the page refreshed, nothing would come up on my browser. The dashboard was blank, my webpage was blank as well. The only thing that would come up was my webpage dashboard log in: https://www.website/wp-admin/, but when I tried to log in, WordPress said that my user name and my email address were not registered with WordPress. I sent a help request to yahoo small business, which notified WordPress in some way and I was emailed a link to click to reset my password. I selected the link, input my new password, but when attempting to sign in, I had the same problem. I am new to WordPress and am unsure of the version and cannot check since I cannot get into my dashboard. I would really appreciate some help.
Thanks in advance
