disabling a plug-in for mobile devices

on a site i recently designed, i added the cursor trail plug-in, which produces a sort of goofy effect: an image trails the user’s cursor across the site.
however, on iphones this plug-in causes problems: it becomes impossible to actually touch-click on the site’s links.
so i was forced, unfortunately, to disable the plug-in.

my question is,
can i re-activate this plug-in, but make some specification so that it doesn’t appear on mobile devices?

(i’ve tried to find the answer to this question elsewhere on the forum, but to no avail.)
