Edge Suite Into Lucid Theme

  • I had not had any issues before today. I properly inserted the snippet for my header, the oam file, into the header.php file. Selected it has the default composition and it appeared perfectly fine. I then inserted the a php snippet of my blog page composition in which i thought was the correct spot on the home.php file. I then selected it as my blog page composition. Everything worked. All the sudden when i made change to the actual animate file, published it, and inserted it back into the edge suite, my header disapeared and the new file for the blog page snippet appears where the header used to be. I double checked to see if they were both selected properly in the edge suite options. they were. So im kind of at a stopping point being very confused why it isnt working anymore

    P.S. if I only use the default composition (header) the header works. If I set my blog composition to use the file I uploaded for the blog everything goes wacky

    Hi, not sure i get your setup, but right now you can’t upload two different composition with the same class id e.g EDGE-731825939. This sometimes happen when people copy or modify compositions. This is not a problem in general, errors only occur when putting both compositions alongside on a single page. Could that be it? Hard to tell without looking at the site.

    So maybe if change the class id it can work? I am going to try that and see. Thanks a lot. I will update.

    So that didnt work. In fact it knocked out the header as well when I added it..

    now it includes the header on every page except home

    Like I mentioned before, hard to tell what#s wrong without looking at the page. As long as you don’t provide a link to the site I’m afraid I can’t really help you as this works for other people in general.

    Did you get it to work? Can you otherwise sent me a link with a subpage where the two compositions are on. Can’t debug it without the actual error.
