wp-postviews very high cpu usage

    Hello,

    I was using the wp-postviews plugin together with detube theme for video site with youtube videos. After changing a theme (i use this theme since 20 days) my server load up drastically. I need few days to try different cache plugins but the results was the same. When i deactivate wp-postviews plugin the load goes down and now the site work fine… tell me, what to do to can avoid this very high server load? I want to use the plugin, because now my views are not counted and this is not good, but this load is very very big! Thanks!

    Unfortunately there is no way around this with the current implementation, the plugin counts every pageload as 1 hit using WP post meta and hence the high pageload. Some hosting discourage the use of this plugin on high profile sites. You might want to take a look at other alternative plugins.
