Emoji/Special Characters Breaking Display/Layout
-
I have embedded the AI Tweets shortcode into a tab-section on my client’s site at RameenPeyrow.com which you can see on the “Twitter” tab below the fold.
I am running into issues where the AI Twitter plugin is breaking the layout/design if my client happens to use any of the iPhone emojis in their status. For example, this status:
https://twitter.com/Sattvayoga/status/393885530993479680 you can currently see is the one on RameenPeyrow.com that is breaking the layout of the tweets. It looks like possibly one of the rules in the preg_replace within the ai_makeLink function is perhaps grabbing something it shouldn’t?
I also had the client retweet this status: https://twitter.com/ceclatorre/status/395018541629308929 and it broke the layout as well because the
huff.to/1dhllLg ”/
portion of the tweet got interpreted wrong so I was getting the diamond question marks in it’s place instead.
