Site wants me to run install WordPress

    I was working on my site from the admin backend, I paused for a few minutes and clicked on a page link. It gave me the error “This page has a redirect loop” so I tried another page and it went to WordPress new install screen.

    I checked with my hosts File Manager and it appears as if all the files are still there in the right places.

    Does anyone have a clue what is going on?

    This problem disappeared on its own, so I have no idea what the problem was.

    This is the third time the error message “This webpage has a redirect loop” has appeared and gone away after a period of time, so it is very difficult to track down. It started happening after I deleted Theme My Login plugin, but it is difficult to prove if this causes the problem.

    I don’t know if the redirect to install.php is related.

    Error Report plugin shows nothing at all.

    Since this problem is recurring I will not mark this issue as “resolved”.
