Admin site working but not blog

I’ve installed wordpress on my localhost, with Apache, PHP and MySQL configured and running. The WordPress admin site works perfectly, I went through the installation process with no hiccups, it said eveything was set up and the dashboard appears to be working fine, I can go through all the settings and editors and everything appears normal. I can see the tables seem to have been created in MySQL workbench app.

But when I click the visit site button, it just takes me to a directory listing of the folder wordpress is installed in. I tried setting the 2012 as well as the 2013 themes, but the site doesn’t appear to be working right. I enabled the mod_rewrite module for Apache just in case but it doesn’t seem to have helped.

Any ideas?
