LookFeel/Behaviour of 'Weekly' notification email

    Hi Guys,

    First a rave. I’m currently enjoying this awesome plugin and want to thank the author, good work mate.

    Onto to my question.

    We currently sending notification using the “For each Post” option. This works great so far. However our client has requested we send out a weekly notification highlighting the two most recent posts.

    1) How does the notifications work when it’s set to “weekly” ?
    2) How does weekly the weekly notifications look like? Is it one email containing urls to all the posts added over the past week?
    3) Is it possible for the weekly notification to highlight the two most recent posts over the past week?

    If my client did not have a database of a few 100 people I would have tested this feature myself, but unfortunately I can’t run the risk of changing the notification period without knowing how the plugin will behave.

    Thanks for the feedback, I’m glad you like the plugin.

    If you set the plugin to send a ‘Weekly’ digest email it will send an excerpt summary for all posts made in the last week in a single email at around the scheduled time.

    The layout does depend to some extent on the template in Subscribe2->Settings. Links, categories and tags can all be included but the layout cannot be customised to the same extent as for the per-post emails.

    There is an API filter that you could make use of to completely change the content and layout of the post if this request from your client is not negotiable.
