Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION when forgot password

  • I have made a website using a premium theme. when a user clicks on forgot password the following errors happens.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/muta/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/themes/sweetdate/404.php on line 17

    kindly tell me how to resolve this problem as i have no knowledge of programming
