    Hey,
I have set up a version of our site on a local server, for offline view on a tablet. All is going fine, but when I used wordpress’s export feature, and then imported the .xml file to the new local site, it only got the content.

I would really like to export it all. The settings, colors, media, images, all that hard work I put into it. I do not want to have to set it all up again.

Are there any other ways to get everything?

    Thanks,
    Mike

  • yes, you need to copy the directory wp-contents to your local pc. this hold the themes, plugins, and all the media.

Once imported, you may need to do some set up, such as select the same theme as your online site, and select preferences.
