blank page on admin login

I am truly beginning to think this thing is over my head.
I got some help from you all getting linked up to my SQL server and I appreciate it. I have a new issue.

I am hosted by fatcow. I used their control panel to make an SQL database. I got the user name I created for the DB and password entered. I got pointed at the correct server. I went through the install process and got my password. I have it happily written down here. I go to the login screen and enter my data the browser looks like it is working and I end up with a white screen and the bottom left of the browser says done.
I typically browse in firefox but thought I would give explorer a shot at the page. Same result. I went to view my blog and there is the little prebuilt “Hello World” message in there. I tried to comment on my blog and nothing happened. I left for a while and came back. No change. I got into the SQL query using Fatcow’s tools and can see my commment and that it needs approval.
I am suspecting that maybe I need to set up some kind of permissions for the account maybe. It seems to have installed the tables okay though I would think that would have failed too if that were the case.

any thoughts?
