Hi All, I was trying to develop my first child theme using the twenty twelve as the parent theme. I created it and activated it fine, but when I copied the footer.php file, I was trying to modify it and it didn’t replace what I thought was the parent’s footer.php. So (I knnwo your not supposed to change the parent theme but I tested it anyway.) I changed the parent’s footer.php to match my own, and well what do you know, nothing changed either… Do I have a corrupt version?

Here’s my site on my sandbox: drummerboyhosting.com/ins. Thanks!

  • I’d guess it’s the caching plugin on your site –

<!– Dynamic page generated in 0.599 seconds. –>
    <!– Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2013-10-30 23:56:28 –>

    <!– Compression = gzip –>

Try deleting the cache under the plugin’s section and then turn that off while you are developing the site.
