Paypal DropDown Menus for WP.org vs.WP.com

I’m new to adding PayPal buttons. I’m OK with html and pasting codes but I ran across this at https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/ and was wondering if it also applied to www.remarpro.com:

“DO NOT check the box next to any of the customization options, like drop-down menus or text fields. If you select any of those checkboxes, you’ll generate a button that you won’t be able to use on WordPress.com.”

The same site says:”Believe it or not, you do not want the code for websites! WordPress.com does not let users post web forms so the website code would be stripped. You must use the link provided in the Email tab.”

I’d like to be able to use a PayPal drop down for varying prices of Gift Cards but I’m not sure if the restriction of customization of buttons also applies to www.remarpro.com.
