With the 3.7 update, it blew away the Custom CSS and not I can’t edit the screen “Custom CSS”.

The screen sits there with one line /*

It will not accept anything I paste or type.

Tried to restore previous revisions and I can see the code but it will not restore.

Thanks for your time.

Jetpack Mechanic ??

I was not able to reproduce the issue. Could you try to reinstall Jetpack, and let me know if it helps?

Hi.
I deleted JetPack and all the files, cleared the cache, then reinstalled JetPack.

The Custom CSS page still does not allow me to enter any lines of code. I can look at the CSS revisions, click restore but nothing happens.

The revisions do not end up in the workspace, and the bug of showing the Feature Image above the title is still there.

Something new – The feature image above the title also occurs in JetPack.

Could you check for Javascript errors on the Custom CSS editor page? If you get errors, could you paste them here?

I’m not sure I understand this issue. Could you give me more details?

Thanks!

Something new – at first Monday, the smartphone version of my site using jetpack and 3.7 did not show the feature image above the H1 story title. Now it looks exactly like the web browser version/

Could you try to open the Custom CSS editor in a different browser, like Chrome or Firefox, and let me know if you experience the same issue?

You seem to be using the WP Super Cache plugin on your site. Could you go to Settings > WP Super Cache > Advanced, and enable the Mobile compatible mode? Once you’ve done so, you will want to go to Settings > WP Super Cache > Plugins and enable the Jetpack Mobile Theme option there. Let me know if this helps.

OK I opened the site in Chrome and I can see and edit the Custom CSS.

WP Super Cache was turned on for mobile already..

I got some of my customization back but I don’t think it is presenting JetPack to smartphones.

I’m not a programmer but I did run the Tools on Chrome and isolated the HTML code that is replicating the feature image

The element is –

<img width=”624″ height=”351″ src=”https://njnnetwork.com/njn/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/microsoft-surface-2-creative-music-studio-624×351.jpg” class=”attachment-post-thumbnail wp-post-image” alt=”Microsoft Surface 2 Creative Music Studio”>

Is there a way to rem that out in Edit CSS?

Thanks.

You’re right, I get your desktop theme when visiting your site on a smartphone. It seems you’ve disabled the Jetpack Mobile Theme in the Jetpack menu.

Your Custom CSS changes appear on mobile as well, and your theme is responsive so you might not need the Jetpack Mobile Theme at all.

if you want to use Jetpack’s Mobile Theme, and if you want your custom CSS changes to be loaded there as well, you’ll need to enable the Mobile Compatible mode on the right side of the CSS editor.

I do not see any duplicate Featured Image when viewing your site on mobile. Does it only happen when the Jetpack Mobile Theme is activated?
If so, could you let me know if you use any other plugins to add images or Featured Images to your posts?

Thanks!
