More Images displayed as existent in gallery

Hey NextGen-Gallery-Developer!
I used your gallery plugin for the last 8 years with passion and really liked its robustness. But since you have updated your plugin to version 2.x, the whole thing is just a complete mess.
Most of all, I would like to mention three issues, which are unacceptable:
1) I want to show thumbnails. If anyone clicks on an image, I want the image to appear as large as it is (with the good known “close” link at the bottom right … Worked well for 8 years. NOW (2.0.33): More images than in the gallery exist, will be shown. OR: Gallery shows a white picture after the other.
2) Within the text editor, I click on the your button-link to add a gallery. After entering all the details, I get a preview-image of the gallery, but not the gallery itself. With version 1.x I just got a nexgen-box, which showed me, that there are some configs for images … thats enough and not so confusing.
3) Adding single images left- or right-floating is nearly impossible .. I will have to add a single picture which is (first) not clickable but far to small, or (second) is clickable, but the image will be displayed in the second browser window (*wtf!?) …
For me, I just downgraded to Version 1.9 .. Please fix all that bugs. But what you release right now, is not useable for people with existing image databases based on 1.x-versions of your plugin.
