  • I’m afraid not.

Though I’m not really familiar with Better WP Security I do know a number of these security plugins impose restrictions relating to files in the wp-admin directory. Unfortunately, following WordPress best practices, access is required for communication by ajax.

While I don’t know if that relates to the very problem you are facing (I suspect it might be though) you would probably do better to discuss this with the authors of that plugin, since it is their code which is adding the extra restrictions and presumably is “locking you out” – and so they will be in the best position to guide you since they can tell you what might trigger this, etc.

    Thanks!

i have the same plugins installed on my website and don’t have this issue. maybe try to delete better wp security and set it back up paying attention to all tweaks that say it may cause issues with other plugins.

I’ll mark this as resolved as it has been quite a while without a follow up and in any case relates to integration with a third party plugin which, regrettably, we cannot offer support for here on this forum.

    Thanks!
