• I last made a post on the 21st & haven’t had a problem with posting or editing posts.
I go to make a post today & I keep getting an error that says “You do not have permission to access /wp/wp-admin/post.php on this server.” I haven’t touched anything in the wp/wp-admin/ directory since I first installed a couple of plugins and that was a couple of weeks ago.
I tried logging out and then logging back in and I could make a new post. I went to edit that post and got the error again, so I logged out and logged back in and still can’t edit my post.

I’m starting to get really annoyed. ?_? Lol.

    EDIT//
Okay, so I can now post; I shortened the post I was trying to make and it let me through. So does anyone have any ideas why I can only post 500 words at a time? =\

  • It probably isn’t the length. It is probably related to what was IN the post.

Check with your host, but I’ll bet you a lunch that they are running mod_security. Mod_security will watch data and if it sees a word or phrase that it doesn’t like, it’ll block access. Odds are, there was something in your post it didn’t like.

If mod_security is indeed the culprit, search here for 403 and mod_security. If you’re host won’t disable it, there’s a little work-around that’s been posted in the past.
