Asking for suggestions on a simple and clean theme

    Hello there,

    First time here. So, greetings anyone.

    I would like to know from you if there is any theme I could use requiring just a little of customization area. No need for more.
    I’ve been exploring the theme repository and lots of them are wonderful, really nice, but the idea I have to develop a new website would require just few items to add.

    The layout shared in the link above shows exactly what I’ looking for.

    The idea is to have an editable header, where the background color would be easily changed, and have also an option to add a extended logo or banner on the top. The two columns are for content is divided on 70% vs 30% basis, where the main content comes in the wider area, and having the smallest one for widgets like search box, some images, texts, etc.

    The menu area, is simple and clean. We should be able to create menus and sub-menus (perhaps, also sub-sub-menus).

    The general background is white, completely.

    Is there somewhere a simple theme like the one described?

    If so, please tell me! I’m willing to experience something simpler. Really.

    Hey Delkaumi – Sounds to me like the TwentyTwelve default theme that comes with wordpress would work just fine. It has all the things you mentioned. You can

    • add a header image
    • it comes with a completely white background
    • its simple and clean
    • has the menus you need
    • has a 70-30 layout, approx

    I’ll playing around that theme, as well as the Twenty Eleven. But just as an experiment before switch from .com to .org

    Make sure that you create a child theme if you are going to modify any theme files – otherwise your changes will be lost when WP is updated.
