    Hi,

I developed my site in a subfolder and changed the site url and moved the index.php and htcaccess files to the root folder, which is standard procedure as the client doesn’t want their url to be “humphreyconstruction.net/wp”. I’ve done this literally dozens of times with no issue but for some reason this time all of my galleries that I built in NextGEN gallery have quit working. I reverted it back to the subfolder and they worked fine but when I change the site url and move the index and htcaccess files it no longer works. I have checked all other plugins, updates, etc and that’s not it. It breaks when I change the site url.

How do I fix this? Is there a way to fix it? I really need to get this up and running for my client as the site was supposed to go live today.

    The url is https://www.humphreyconstruction.net

    Thanks,

    Ryan

@ryansnd – Have you looked at our FAQ about site migration and Lightbox Effects issues? Have a read over of this article linked from our FAQ:

    Hi,

I didn’t see an article about site migration issues. Lightbox isn’t the issue as I checked out the code and the path appears to still be correct. Besides I was using Fancybox with it. It’s also not a plugin compatibility issue due to the fact that everything worked fine before the site url was changed. And also when I change it back it works fine.

I’m sure it has something to do with a path in there somewhere and I’m hoping you guys can help me out with it.

    Sincerely,

    Ryan

I am having this same issue. Using the very latest version of Nextgen gallery and wordpress.

When I change my site url to anything different than the wordpress install url Nextgen gallery breaks. Images will not show on the pages and the next gen insert menu when editing a page will not load any of the functions, it only displays a white box.

Additionally none of the OTHER SETTINGS can be changed. When saving changes to other setting option I am directed to my homepage and nothing is saved.

When the site url and wordpress directory installation are identical everything works.

Something here is not referring correctly to the wordpress settings…and I cannot find any information about fixing this in the Nextgen FAQ, everything is relate to lightbox or fancy box not working, but nothing about the entire plugin not working.

@ryansnd & @cletuskuhn – There are certain pieces of data that are saved and used based on when the plugin was activated … changing the “WordPress URL” would most likely cause the issues you are describing without putting our Reset Tool to use.

Please submit a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) so we can have a closer look at what is going on with your sites (individually).

    Thanks!
