Home page issue – not updating

  • My site doesnt show recent news. It servers news from 29.september.And i add news daily..a lot of them. If you hit ctrl + f5 sometimes the new posts are shown but again it reverts to old one.

    I am using nginx, maxcdn, and cloudflare with it.

    Home page cache is enabled and Expires header lifetime:3600 seconds on html , Set cache control header to max age..

    Inside browser cache i unchecked Set expires header , Cache Control policy: with max age , Set entity tag (eTag) unchecked.

    I tried everything. Currently plugin is disabled and the new posts are shown.

    Pls any idea what can be a problem.

    I am having a similar problem with my home page at https://www.thenextchallenge.org

    I switched the homepage from Blog (which never had any problems) to Static Page but still display the latest blog posts on the page using a feature of my theme.

    I currently have to manually clear the page’s cache every time there’s a new post otherwise it doesn’t show up to non-admin.

    (Interestingly, the Category pages also don’t show the latest blog posts but some apparently arbitrarily selected post from recent history).

    Any help much appreciated.

    Oh dear, I’ve just seen a check box under the Page Cache tab that says: “Don’t cache the front page”. Lazy on my part, sorry.

    Will have to wait for my next new article to confirm this solves the problem but perhaps this will work for you too oneruffryder?
