Turn off auto excerpt!!!!

    With the latest luminescence update, displaying post excerpts is hard-coded into the theme. There is no option to turn this off. I reverted to 1.0.6, but the functionality is still there. How do I get rid of this?!! It completely breaks my page, I need the full text of my posts to display.

    P.S. changing the previous theme versions in the repository and hard-coding built-in wordpress functionality into your theme is very bad practice. If I wanted to display excerpts, I would simply use the wordpress functions.

  • Actually, I will be doing an update to this theme today which I just did for another theme yesterday which will add an option to the theme settings to let the person decide if they want the standard content method (where you add in your own “read more”, or the excerpt (which will also have an option to select the length of an excerpt).

    Give me about 2 hours and I will have an update for Luminescence Lite, then contact me from my site and I can send the new version to you.

    Done… I have added a couple theme options to Luminescence Lite:

    1. Choice of standard content (with your own Continue Reading…
    2. Excerpt length if using excerpts, both auto or custom.
